Is Art Therapy even real?!
Art therapy has been a recognized form of therapy for many years. Art as a therapeutic tool dates back to the early 1900s when psychiatrists began exploring its potential in treating mental illness. Adrian Hill, a British artist, coined the term "art therapy" in the 1940s and began using it as a formal treatment method. Since then, art therapy has been widely used to help individuals with various mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, and PTSD. Today, organizations such as the American Art Therapy Association and the World Health Organization recognize art therapy as a valuable form of treatment.
What's the difference between Art therapy and Art Therapy coaching??
Clinical art therapy is a form of therapy that involves a licensed mental health professional using art as a tool to help clients explore and express their emotions, improve their mental health, and work through psychological issues. Non-clinical art therapy coaching, on the other hand, is a more "general" approach that focuses on using art as a means of personal growth and self-discovery we are certificated and trained but we are not licenses to diagnosis by any means.
Are Artistic Abilities needed to do this?
